The Story
When my son announced that he was going to be a daddy, this proud grandma got busy making a baby quilt.
When I was pregnant with my daughter, a friend gave me a baby blanket covered with ducks. My daughter loved that blanket so much that she kept it into her teen years. I wanted to carry that memory into a quilt for the next generation, but with only a fuzzy recollection of those original ducks, I designed my own.
Since my son has always loved the Southwest, I gave the quilt a little Southwestern spice—creating Down By the Rio, a new quilt inspired by an old and much-loved blanket.
